Teenager loses his licence in 49 minutes

A teenager lost his driver’s licence in less than an hour, as he was heading home from a successful driving test.

The 18-year-old boy was driving home after passing his driving test in the town of Hemer, north-eastern Germany when the incident occurred.

The boy was driving with four friends in his car when regional police checked his speed with a laser gun.

Police found he was riding at almost double the speed limit, travelling at 95 kilometres per hour in a 50 kilometres per hour zone, according to the BBC.

“Some things last for ever- others not for an hour,” German police wrote in a statement, the outlet reported.

The young driver has been banned for four weeks and faces a hefty fine of over $300.
