A teenage boy who allegedly tried to shoot an arrow at a Victorian police officer has been charged with attempted murder.
Police allege the 17-year-old was behaving erratically and refused to leave a property on Dugan Street at Sale, in the state's east, when they arrived around 2.30pm on Thursday.
"It is alleged the male discharged an arrow toward police members at the scene, narrowly missing a sergeant," Victoria Police spokeswoman Belinda Batty said on Friday.
The property was searched and police seized an explosive device.
The teen was also charged with conduct endangering life, assault an emergency service worker, assault, affray, criminal damage and charges relating to possessing an explosive device.
He will appear at a children's court at a later date.
