Teen social media star found dead hours after posting eerie TikTok video
A sixteen-year-old TikTok star has committed suicide after reportedly receiving threats online.
Siya Kakkar, who had more than a million followers on the platform, was found dead in her home in New Delhi on Thursday, her manager Arjun Sarin has confirmed.
"This must be due to something personal... work wise she was doing well,” Mr Sarin said.
"I had a word with her last night for a new project and she sounded normal.
"Me and my company Fame Experts manage lots of artists and Siya was a bright talent."
There are reports the star, who was also popular on Instagram and Snapchat, had received threats prior to her sudden death, according to news.com.au.
Siya posted an eerie video on TikTok hours before her death with the caption “there was no lack of desire, no want of people”.
Her social media accounts have since been flooded by fans leaving their condolences.
