Prosecutors said that Madison had an argument with the three defendants on the night before the murder, per the Journal-Constitution and The Citizen. The three men were at Madison’s home the evening before the murder, Peachtree City Assistant Chief Matt Myers said at the time, per The Citizen.

The argument was through text messages, which authorities say they reviewed during their investigation, per the Journal-Constitution and The Citizen.

While Madison was in bed, Brown snuck in through her window and shot her in the head with a pistol he had brought with him, evidence revealed, per WSB-TV, the Journal-Constitution and The Citizen.

The killer, along with the two other defendants, also allegedly brought cleaning supplies when they came to her home, the Griffin Judicial Circuit District Attorney’s Office said, per WSB-TV and Journal-Constitution.

The next morning, Madison's mother found her in a pool of blood and called 911, according to the call record, cited by 11 Alive at the time.
