Teen killed in game of 'Russian roulette'

A 17-year-old boy has been killed in a deadly game of ‘Russian roulette’, leading to the arrest of three teenagers, according to authorities.

Matthew Minkler, 17, reportedly died in a kitchen of an abandoned house in Henderson, 26km from Las Vegas, before his body was allegedly shoved in a closet.

An expletive reference to his name was spray-painted on the door.

Officer Scott Williams said third teenager arrested as a juvenile late Wednesday could face charges as an adult including tampering with evidence and accessory to murder.

Two other teens, aged 16 and 17, were arrested on June 8. The names of those involved are not reported as they are juveniles.

They appeared as adults with their lawyers on Thursday before a Henderson judge, who scheduled a July 2 preliminary hearing of evidence.

Court documents say police obtained video of Matthew’s body in the kitchen, hours before he was found in the closet.
