Teen girl killed in horror e-scooter crash

A Queensland girl has died following a crash involving an e-scooter, a 4WD and a motorbike.

The crash happened on the Bruce Highway at Townsville on Monday afternoon.

The motorbike rider from North Queensland also suffered serious injuries.

Police are investigating, but suspect the e-scooter and 4WD collided, then the scooter and motorbike made contact.

Emergency services were called to intersection of the major highway and Deeragun Road at about 5.15pm, police said in a statement.

The 15-year-old female e-scooter rider from Townsville died at the scene.

The 65-year-old motorbike rider from Ingham sustained serious but non-life-threatening injuries.

The 36-year-old female driver of the 4WD was not injured in the crash, according to police.
