Teen falls from cliff during schoolies celebrations

A teenage boy has fallen from a cliff during schoolies celebrations in Western Australia.

The 18-year-old fell approximately two metres from a cliff near Yallingup, an hour south west of Perth, on Tuesday.

The boy was with a group of friends on rocks when he fell and landed at the base, police said.

He was rescued by police, ambulance and rescue helicopter officers who loaded him onto a stretcher and carried him to an area where he could be moved to a helicopter.

An RAC Rescue Helicopter airlifted him to Bunbury Hospital for treatment of possible spinal injuries.
