Teen couple charged with raping girl, 16, they met online

A teenage couple have been charged with raping a 16-year-old girl they met online.

Carl Wecker, 19, and Alexis Davis-Mardis, 18, had the police called on them during a disturbance at a restaurant in the US state of Kentucky on Wednesday about 11pm, police said.

“Both individuals appeared to be under the influence of narcotics. While speaking with the individuals Carl Wecker admitted to having thrown a bag containing fentanyl laced Xanax after he was told the police were on the way,” Carlisle County Sheriff’s Office said.

Deputy Ben Green said while speaking with Davis-Mardis he learned the pair had been involved in an altercation at a nearby home.

Police said the couple had met up with a girl who they had been speaking to online and allege they admitted to performing sexual acts on her – some which were recorded on a phone.

That phone is undergoing forensic examination.

“Both Alexis Davis-Mardis and Carl Wecker were taken to a hospital where a search warrant was executed to obtain DNA evidence and then were transported to the McCracken County Jail,” police said.

Both were charged with rape, public intoxication and drug possession among a number of charges.
