A fourth person has been charged over a daylight Melbourne jewellery store armed robbery, which witnesses say took little more than 20 seconds.

A 17-year-old Koo Wee Rup boy was arrested on Tuesday and charged over the March 14, 2017 smash-and-grab, in which balaclava-clad thieves used steel mallets to rob the Westfield Plenty Valley jewellery shop in Mill Park.

Three others, a 25-year-old Stawell woman, a Stawell man, 27, and 29-year-old Greensborough man, faced court over the matter last year but police believe two other males are still at large.
