A 14-year-old girl has been accused of setting fire to a NSW home after assaulting two people and damaging two cars at the property.
The house at Invergowrie, about 20 kilometres west of Armidale in the New England region, was badly damaged in the blaze which was put out by firefighters on Tuesday night, police have said in a statement.
Officers called to the scene were told a teenage girl had assaulted two people and damaged two cars before lighting the fire.
The girl was taken to the Armidale Police Station, where she was charged with three counts of common assault, two of malicious damage to motor vehicle and one of damaging a property by fire.
The 14-year-old has been granted bail to face a children's court on June 7.
