The tattoo that won teen a year's supply of KFC
A teenager’s indisputable love for her favourite fast food has made her a winner with a chicken dinner.
KFC asked fans to head to its Facebook page earlier this week and nominate why they should win a “Chicken Cheque” for a year’s supply of fried chicken.
Nineteen-year-old Brooke Collins, from Penrith in Sydney’s west, took out the top prize, after she and her friend, Brielle, got matching KFC tattoos on their feet at Schoolies on the Gold Coast.
“Dad told me he’s not paying for dinner for a year and mum said she’s not cooking for me for a year,” she said.
“I don’t blame them.”
The winner is entitled to $100 worth of KFC products each week for 52 weeks equating to about 458 three-piece boxes.
Brooke said she’ll be sharing a majority of her chicken with Brielle who she credited with encouraging her to get the tattoo.
She added she doesn’t know if she’ll be getting any other KFC tattoos but she’ll be keeping the one, which won her the prize.
She said the pair of them got the KFC tattoos in reflection of how they bonded over the fried chicken during HSC study breaks.
“KFC literally was used as a bonding tool throughout year 12 between my friends and I, and is the best and tastiest food there is,” she said.

The pair weren’t the only entrants with KFC tattoos though.
Cassie Holmes wrote on the Facebook page she’s “dedicated to the colonel” and showed a tattoo on the inside of her lower lip.
“KFC has been my life since a child,” she wrote.
Friday is also National Fried Chicken Day.
