Girl, 14, arrested after 10-year-old found dead at NSW home

A 14-year-old girl has been arrested after a 10-year-old was found dead at a home in northern NSW.

Emergency services were called to the Gunnedah home about 7.15am on Wednesday after reports the younger girl had been seriously injured.

Upon arrival, police found the body of the child, a NSW Police spokesman told AAP.

The teenager, who is related to the younger girl but not her sister, was arrested and has been taken to the local police station.
