Archaeologists find incredible 5,000-year-old graveyard of 'giants'

Archaeologists have unearthed a giant graveyard of unusually tall men buried over 5000 years ago.

The incredible ancient tomb discovery was made at a village in eastern China's Shandong province.

Some of the men were taller then six foot, making them giants of their time, The Mirror reported.

Scientists believe their height and health could have been due to their diet, as their village was surrounded by millet crops.

"Already agricultural at that time, people had diverse and rich food resources and thus their physique changed," Fang Hui, head of Shandong University's school of history and culture, said.

The incredible discovery was made during an excavation of houses and sarificial pits in the province.

Scientists discovered some damage to the legs and skulls of some of the bodies and believe it could be due to a power struggle in the village.
