Tasmania man dies after car hits trees

A man has been killed in a single vehicle crash on a highway in northeast Tasmania.

The 24-year-old was found within the car about 8.50pm on Tuesday on the Tasman Highway, approximately 15 kilometres west of Scottsdale. Efforts were made to revive the man before he was pronounced dead at the scene.

It's believed the driver failed to negotiate a right-hand bend and veered off the road, striking a number of large trees.
