A man accused of robbing a pub in southern Tasmania has tried to catch a flight to Melbourne under a false name, allegedly with some of the stolen cash in his luggage.
Police arrested the 33-year-old at Launceston Airport in the state's north on Sunday after the armed robbery at the Lauderdale Tavern two days earlier.
He was on Monday charged with using false identification to obtain an airline ticket, plus aggravated armed robbery and drugs and guns offences.
Police say he was one of two men who robbed the pub at gunpoint.
The other man, 41, was arrested and charged on Saturday after being found with a sawn-off shotgun police believe was used in the hold up.
