'Take it down!': Ivanka Trump slammed over tweet praising dad

Donald Trump’s daughter Ivanka has been criticised for sharing a list of her father’s achievements.

The US president’s time in the White House is drawing to a close amid arrests for a raid on the US Capitol by his supporters and a Covid-19 pandemic, which has killed more than 395,000 people.

Trump has also been impeached twice and been banned from using Twitter.

At the weekend, Ivanka shared on Twitter a White House website link that listed “Trump Administration Accomplishments”.

The list included “Unprecedented Economic Boom”, tax reliefs, “Massive Deregulation” and “American Energy Independence”.

But Ivanka’s tweet didn’t sit well with many people on Twitter.

“Did you add inciting an insurrection?” one woman wrote.

Another woman tweeted: “Seriously?”

“Be glad you are not being escorted out in handcuffs,” she tweeted.

“Karma will always be your shadow.”

Others simply tweeted “go away”, pointed out the death toll from Covid and called Trump a “failure”.

“If being the first president ever to be impeached twice, and being the first president ever to lose the popular vote both times, are not on the list, you can set fire to whatever you compiled,” one man tweeted.

“Anything short of those is pure spin, fluff and bulls***.”

Comedian Michael Rapaport responded: “Rigged list! You forgot inciting a Riot. Re-do the list or take it down!!!”

Another person wrote: “And at least 20000 false or misleading statements... quite impressive.”

Trump is reportedly planning an elaborate send-off on the same day of President-elect Joe Biden’s inauguration.

The outgoing US president will leave Washington DC on Wednesday morning (local time) just before the inauguration ceremony to begin his post-presidential life in Florida.

Refusing to abide by tradition and participate in the ceremonial transfer of power, Trump will instead hold his own departure ceremony at Joint Base Andrews in Maryland before his final flight aboard Air Force One.
