Syrian Activists Say Turkish Vehicles Cross into Syria with Escort From Hayat Tahrir Al Sham

Local activists said three Turkish vehicles crossed from Turkey into the village of Atima in Syria on October 7 escorted by Hayat Tahrir Al-Sham fighters on October 7.

Reuters citing local sources reported that Turkish military vehicles entered Idlib province as part of a Hayat Tahrir Al-Sham convoy.

On September 15, Turkey, Russia, and Iran reached an agreement in Astana, Kazakhstan to create a new “de-escalation zone” in Idlib, with Turkish troops entering Idlib province.

Airstrikes in Hama and Idlib provinces have increased since the agreement, and on October 8, Hayat Tahrir Al-Shams forces captured territory from Syrian government forces in Hama.
