Sydney worker crushed to death by forklift
A man has died at a water treatment centre in Sydney's west this morning, after reportedly being crushed by a forklift.
The incident happened on Charles Street in St Marys in the early hours of Monday morning, with emergency services being called at around 6.40am due to a "serious workplace accident".
NSW Police confirmed to Yahoo News Australia when officers from the Nepean Police Area Command arrived at the scene a man was dead.
There have been reports the man was run over by a forklift while at the treatment centre.
SafeWork NSW has been alerted to the incident and police will prepare a report for the coroner.
The man was aged in his 30s, 9News reported.
"SafeWork is investigating a forklift incident this morning at a workplace in St Marys," SafeWork NSW spokesperson told Yahoo News Australia.
"The investigation is ongoing and further comment is not available at this time."
