'Nearly broke my tooth': Woman outraged by find in McDonald's burger

A Sydney woman is furious after claiming she bit into a McDonald’s burger before discovering a piece of metal sticking out of the chicken.

Ada Teaupa posted on Facebook a picture of the half eaten burger purchased from McDonald’s Cartwright, near Liverpool, in Sydney’s southwest.

“Look what I found in the chicken and cheese!! Nearly broke my tooth!!!!! My 3-year-old niece ordered a chicken and cheese as well and thank God I didn’t give it to her yet!” the woman wrote.

Dozens of people were equally shocked by the fast food customer’s experience, with some suggesting she should’ve gone to KFC.

“OMG it’s a good thing you found it first,” one woman wrote.

“Hope you gave them an earful and more,” another said.

“I felt my tooth bite into something hard and thought ‘oh no this is glass’,” she told 7News.com.au.

She claimed McDonald’s refunded her and offered another burger, which she refused.

McDonald’s told Yahoo News Australia it would investigate the incident.

“We’re disappointed that this happened.” a spokesperson said.

“We take food safety very seriously and have strict processes and systems in place.

“An investigation is currently underway with the restaurant, and we encourage the customer to contact us to help us to investigate fully.”
