A woman faces another charge over the serious assault of a five-year-old boy at a home in Sydney's southwest.
Police found the seriously injured child when they were called to a home in Cabramatta on the night of August 28.
He was taken to Liverpool Hospital then transferred to the Children's Hospital at Westmead, where he remains in a stable condition.
A 20-year-old old man and a 31-year-old woman - known to the child - were charged and remain before the courts.
The woman now also faces a charge of wounding a person with intent to cause grievous bodily harm.
She remains on remand and will appear in Liverpool Local Court on Wednesday.
