Sydney Trains recorded its worst on-time running figures for peak hour trains since the introduction of the new timetable late last year, new data suggests.
Internal transport documents obtained by News Corp show trains were late or skipped stations for 79 per cent of the time in June.
Of all the trains passing through Central Station during peak hour, punctuality targets were met on only four days out of 28.

“Things are just getting consistently worse for Sydney commuters who suffer delays and trains that simply don’t turn up,” NSW Labor transport spokeswoman Jodi McKay said in a statement on Wednesday, accusing the state government of failing to properly resource the train network.
