A 67-year-old woman has been charged with sexually abusing a teenage student when she was a teacher in Sydney more than four decades ago.
Police charged the woman at Burwood on Wednesday as part of ongoing investigations into alleged historical sexual assaults and student/teacher relationships on Sydney's northern beaches in the 1970s and 1980s.
The woman has been charged with assaulting and committing an act of indecency on a female under 16 and two counts of assaulting and committing an act of indecency on a female aged between 14 and 16.
Police will allege in court that the woman sexually abused a female student, then aged between 15 and 17, between 1978 and 1980.
The Five Dock woman was granted strict conditional bail to appear at Burwood Local Court on January 18.
