Sydney mum forced to pick up $300 worth of groceries off garage floor after Woolies delivery fail

A Sydney mother is appalled after ordering more than $300 worth of groceries online from Woolworths, only to find them dumped – without bags – in her parking spot.

The mum took to Facebook to complain about delivery, which included a large variety of fresh produce, frozen products and pantry items.

“This is how I found my delivery this morning,” she wrote.

She said she received a message from the supermarket giant at 7am stating her order would arrive at her door between 8.35am and 9.35am.

Determined to be home when the order arrived, she rushed her kids to school and was home by 8am – only to find out that she’d missed the delivery.

“I receive a call at 7.45am (an hour earlier than they told me) saying they are here with the shopping asking where to leave my order,” she wrote.

“There is no safe place!! The only place is my car spot.”

A photo accompanying the post shows a large pile of groceries on the oil-stained concrete floor of her car park.

“No bags, fruit, veg all on the floor of the carpark. This is over $300 worth of groceries. Appalling.”

To add insult to injury, the mum was also forced to carry all her loose items up three flights of stairs.

One commenter described Woolworths’ service as ‘shocking’, and said the mother should be refunded for the delivery.

Woolworths have reached out to the customer, apologising for the way the groceries were left.

“We're terribly sorry to see the state of the delivery order received,” they responded.

“We do take these type of issues seriously and we would like to investigate further.”
