A Sydney man who allegedly groomed a teenage girl he met on social media is set to face court.

Police arrested the 18-year-old at a home in Botany about 11.30am on Thursday following reports a 15-year-old girl had been groomed and sexually touched by a male she met online.

The man also groomed two other girls aged 14 and 15, who were known to him, using social media, police said.

He was charged with a string of offences including two counts of grooming a child for unlawful sexual activity, two counts of using a carriage service to solicit child abuse material, possessing child abuse material, suppling liquor to a minor, and intentionally sexually touching a child aged between 10 and 16.

The man was refused bail to appear at Central Local Court on Friday.
