Sydney Covid-19 testing clinic damaged by 'suspicious' fire

A fire has caused damage at a NSW Covid testing clinic overnight, NSW Police say.

Officers were called to the clinic on Forrester Road, in North St Marys, Sydney's southwest, at 10:50pm on Saturday.

According to NSW Health, the only testing clinic in the suburb is St Marys Laverty Pathology Drive-through Clinic.

"Upon arrival, officers from Nepean Police Area Command found a demountable building well alight," NSW Police said.

"The fire was extinguished by Fire and Rescue NSW."

Officers said the fire damaged the Covid testing centre but did not give any details.

The cause has not been determined but investigators are treating it as suspicious.

After a search of the surrounding area, graffiti was found on a separate building, police said.

The investigation continues.
