Heavily-armed police have arrested a sixth suspected member of a drug syndicate more than a month after his alleged co-conspirators were rounded up in similar raids.
Officers from Strikeforce Oilwell seized cannabis, replica firearms, prohibited weapons, seven kilograms of pre-packaged drugs and cash during raids on five homes in Auburn in early April.
Four men and a woman were arrested and are before the courts for their alleged roles in the syndicate.
Police, supported by armoured vehicles, stormed two more properties at Sefton on Tuesday morning.
They arrested 31-year-old Bilel Tamer, who was later granted conditional bail at Burwood Local Court.
He is expected to reappear before the same court on criminal group and drugs charges on June 5.
The initial raids in April followed a tip-off provided from the public, police said at the time.
