Swimmers stunned after 3m shark washes up on popular beach
Sydney swimmers were left shocked after finding a shark washed up on Bondi Beach.
Early morning Bondi Surf Club swimmers discovered the dead three-metre shark on Saturday and dragged it onto the beach.
Police were initially alerted just after 11pm on Friday when a passerby came across the animal on the shoreline.
It is believed the mako shark had been caught on a fishing line late Friday.

The shark may have washed back into the ocean overnight before it resurfaced early on Saturday.
Bondi lifeguards were called in and removed the shark from the beach.
