Swimmer's body pulled from Murray in NSW

A Sydney man's body has been pulled from the Murray River in regional NSW after he went missing while swimming with friends.

The 50-year-old and his friends had been in the water for hours, floating about 5km to John Foord Bridge at Corowa, before the man vanished underwater about 8pm on Saturday.

His friends raised the alarm and searchers from the Volunteer Rescue Association found his body shortly after.
