Suspended NSW learner breaks 50-year ban

A disqualified NSW learner motorcyclist has been caught driving 50 years before he was allowed back on the roads.

The 50-year-old man was pulled over near Taree on Saturday for a random breath test when police learnt he had been banned from driving until 2068.

The man, who returned a breath test reading of 0.036, was charged with driving on a disqualified licence and special range drink driving, police say.

He is expected to face Taree Local Court on July 3.
