Suspect appears in court charged with murder of man, 22, in Troon
A suspect has appeared in court charged with the murder of a young man in South Ayrshire.
Police Scotland said emergency crews were called to a report of a man seriously injured within a property in Ramsay Court, Scott Crescent, Troon, at around 11.40pm on Saturday.
A 22-year-old man was pronounced dead at the scene.
James Thomson, 34, was arrested and charged in connection with the death.
The suspect made no plea to the single murder charge when he appeared at Ayr Sheriff Court on Monday.
Thomson, of East Ayrshire, was remanded in custody and is due back in the dock within the next eight days.
