Dayle Haddon Dies In Suspected Carbon Monoxide Poisoning Accident: Supermodel And Actress Was 76
Dayle Haddon, the Canadian actress and supermodel, has died from suspected carbon monoxide poisoning in what appears to be a tragic freak accident at the home of her son-in-law, Buffy the Vampire Slayer actor Marc Blucas. She was 76.
CBS News reports that Haddon was found Friday in Blucas’ home in Bucks County, PA, after police were called to the scene. CBS quoted a police officer reporting that a high level of carbon monoxide was detected inside the property and that a heating unit malfunction was suspected. It was not yet known if Blucas was at home at the time of the incident.

Haddon was born and raised in Montreal, and spoke fluent English and French. She first embarked on becoming a ballet dancer but found fame as a model, working for Revlon, Estée Lauder, Clairol and Max Factor. She appeared on the cover of Vogue magazine several times.
She appeared on the cover of the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue in 1973 and was twice named in Harper’s Bazaar’s list of “Ten Most Beautiful Women.”
She turned to Hollywood in the early 1970s and made her screen debut in The World’s Greatest Athlete (Disney, 1973). She later appeared in Cheaters (1975), Madame Claude (1977), North Dallas Forty (1979), Desert Chase (1986), Cyborg (1989) and Bullets Over Broadway (1994).

She became the familiar face of L’Oreal’s anti-agIng products and was the author of the book Ageless Beauty: A Woman’s Guide to Lifelong Beauty and Wellbeing.
Blucas, who is married to Haddon’s daughter Ryan, is best known for his role of Riley Finn in Buffy the Vampire Slayer, as well as numerous Hallmark films.
