When are Supergrass going on tour? Band reuniting to celebrate 30 years since debut album I Should Coco
Supergrass have revealed they are re-forming to celebrate 30 years since their 1995 debut album.
The band said on September 16 that they will be marking the release of I Should Coco with a series of performances in May 2025 in Glasgow, Nottingham, Sheffield, Newcastle, Birmingham, Cardiff and Leeds, followed by a show at London's Roundhouse. The album has sold about 500,000 copies in the UK since it was released.
When it came to revealing their tour dates, the band couldn't help but make a playful jab at their fellow Britpop group Oasis by referring to the controversy about the flexible ticketing rates that followed the release of tickets for the latter’s reunion tour, saying: "Dynamic pricing won't be included."
Supergrass were one of the most influential bands to come out of the 1990s and consists of Gaz Coombes, Rob Coombes, Danny Goffey and Mick Quinn.
The Britpop group announced their comeback in 2019 with the goal of "bringing joy into a slightly disturbed world" following their 2010 breakup. Then they decided to go on another break in 2022.
Supergrass have not performed since 2022, when they did a show at Wembley Stadium for a Taylor Hawkins tribute event. Quinn announced on X/Twitter shortly after the band's three-song set that it would be their final performance for the "foreseeable future".
The band members had been focusing on their individual endeavours for the previous few years; frontman Coombes released his fourth solo album, Turn The Car Around in January of last year. Quinn is a member of Swervedriver, a shoegaze band that released an album entitled Future Ruins in 2019.
