Man critically injured after being struck by car while jogging
A man in his 20s has been critically injured after he was struck by a car while jogging on the Sunshine Coast.
Initial investigations indicate the pedestrian was heading north along Old Gympie Road at the Glasshouse Mountains about 11.15am on Saturday when he was hit by a vehicle travelling in the same direction.
He was thrown into a gully and sustained critical injuries.
The man was airlifted to hospital.
Queensland Police’s Forensic Crash Unit are investigating.
Anyone in the area who may have dashboard camera footage or witnessed the incident is urged to contact police.
