60 SECONDS WITH EDDY...
What is the best thing about your job?
The travel is undoubtedly the best and the worst thing about my job. The weather takes you to the most amazing places all over Australia and the world. It's hard being away from family and friends but this job is an incredible once-in-a-lifetime experience.
Who do you most admire?
In journalism, I admire women like Christiane Amanpour who never let her gender get in the way of covering some of the most dangerous conflicts and stories in the world.
In life, I admire anyone who is brave enough to leave behind the safe path and try something new. I worry too much about the future sometimes to do the same.
What is your greatest extravagance?
Fresh flowers. I buy them even I'm only home for a day. I justify that at least my boyfriend can enjoy them when I'm gone.
What is your biggest regret?
I don't have any regrets. I don't think I've always made the right decisions but I wouldn't be here now if I hadn't taken this particular path. You can over analyse things too much, just roll with it.
What is your greatest achievement?
I suspect it's yet to come.
What is your hidden talent?
What is your most treasured possession?
What is your favourite food and drink?
Unfortunately anything that's bad for you. My very favourite comfort food is spaghetti bolognese.
My favourite chocolate treats are those Guylian sea shells.
I love watermelon juice too. And champagne, the good stuff.
Do you have any nicknames? How did you get them?
Sunrise calls me Eddy. My friends call me Weens. My family calls me Weenie. And when I get a little cranky on the road - the boys call me The Ed!
Finish this sentence. I love Sunrise because…
…I grew up with it. It was my very first job in Television and it's still just as fun to this day
