'I’m really excited to get back to Australia': Ed Sheeran pumped for world tour

He’s one of the most popular pop stars in the world right now, boasting an incredible 70 million followers on social media and holding the record for the longest ever number one single in Australia.

But Ed is perhaps an unlikely star.

In a candid Sunday Night interview, he tells guest reporter Angela Cox about the stutter that he struggled with as a child and how his bright red hair made him a target for bullying.

“People don’t like what’s different,” he says.

“A stutter was something, same as the hair, I just couldn’t control it. So yeah, it was tough but just took lots and lots of therapy. Not like therapy sitting down being like ‘oh my life’. You know, like speaking a lot and singing.’

The 26-year-old busker-turned-pop idol announced his world tour this week, with shows coming to Australia next March.

“I’m really excited to get back to Australia,” he says.
