They captivated the nation during the recent fourth season of My Kitchen Rules, taking out the coveted first prize.

Dan and Steph Mulheron entered the cooking contest for one reason, to raise money to fund in vitro fertilisation treatment to start a family. On Sunday Night, the couple reveal the heartbreaking hurdles that have prevented them from achieving their dream and reporter Rahni Sadler joins them as they embark on the next chapter in their journey towards parenthood.

In a Sunday Night special report into IVF, we meet the Australian parents who defied doctors predictions and achieved their goal of having a child after sixteen failed IVF attempts. The Melbourne couple took part in trials of a new treatment developed in the US, and now have a one-month-old baby daughter as a result.

While Aussie golden girl Lisa Curry has been called “an old fool” after announcing plans to try for a baby at the age of 51, we meet a 62-year-old woman who gave birth for the first time at 57 and has never been happier.
