He was one of the Fab Four – the biggest rock and roll band in history. Sir Paul McCartney turns 70 this year and on the season return of Channel 7’s Sunday Night program he talks openly with Ross Coulthart about his life as a Beatle and beyond.

In his only Australian interview Sir Paul relives the mayhem of the Beatles Australian concert tour and how his hard line with John Lennon and Yoko Ono saved the band’s fortunes.

The making and breaking of the Beatles, losing and finding love, and his thoughts on “Australian girls” are all covered in this must watch interview.

Far from putting his feet up McCartney is still making music. His latest album ‘Kisses on the Bottom’ is a tribute to American classics and includes two self penned originals ‘My Valentine’ and ‘Only Our Hearts’.

McCartney, who wrote 'My Valentine' for his wife Nancy Shevell, reveals her first reaction to the song.

Grammy Award-winning producer Tommy LiPuma and Diana Krall and her band helped produce the album with guest appearances from Eric Clapton and Stevie Wonder.

“It was important for me to keep away from the more obvious song choices so, many of the classic standards will be unfamiliar to some people. I hope they are in for a pleasant surprise,” he said.
