SUNDAY: Ashy Bines says her critics just 'feel guilty' for not keeping fit

Fitness guru Ashy Bines has hit back at the online community that criticized her for her post-baby-body bounce-back, saying overweight women need to 'take responsibility' for their health.

"Maybe some mums are feeling guilty for not being active or not eating healthy," Bines tells Melissa Doyle in the story to air Sunday September 25.

"People always have to find someone to blame instead of taking responsibility."

Ashy Bines has built a body-shaping empire by focusing on women's workouts

The Gold Coast trainer has built a following of more than a million since launching her 'bikini body' and 'Booty Camp' fitness plans, but not everyone is buying into the craze.

Throughout her pregnancy Ashy continued to post workout photos and videos to her 887,000 Instagram followers and 1.5 million-strong Facebook audience.

But it was her post-baby-body that really got people talking – just four months after giving birth to Taj she revealed this drastic slim-down.

Sunday Night also interviewed clinical psychologist Louise Adams who is outspoken about the damage of heightened body expectations on pregnant women.

"I do think it is a cult," says Louise Adams, founder of the Treat Yourself Well clinic in Sydney.

She says women are desperate to emulate Bines' physique rather than be happy and emotionally strong.

"I'm concerned about the damage this is doing."

Ashton Kutcher shared Taryn Brumfitt's 'before and after' photo commenting "This is good for the world"

Ashy Bines was just one of many fit and pregnant women on social media who have become targets for criticism.

"People would message you, [writing] 'You're going to kill your baby," she says.

Mum of three, Taryn Brumfitt, created the documentary Embrace about the baby-body struggle after her 'before and after' photo went viral.

The 'before' was a picture of her competing in a body-building tournament after, having had three kids, she decided to get in shape. She said the process of making her body 'perfect' actually made her miserable and said her 'after' shot was of her feeling happy and content in her own skin.

Taryn's photo of her 'happy' weight sparked a global debate and attracted the wrath of keyboard warriors

Unfortunately, not everyone shared her view on body-confidence.
