Sunday Night reporter Rahni Sadler and producer Penelope Cross this week won the National Press Club's Best Documentary award in the fields of health and sciences for their story on a new treatment for MS featuring Chrissy Amphlett.

The awards recognise journalists who have contributed the best work on health and health science topics in the past year, and aim to create awareness of health, medicine and innovation in Australia.

In April, Sunday Night revealed how Australia’s queen of rock, Chrissy Amphlett, was undergoing radical treatment for MS devised by vascular surgeon, Doctor Paolo Zamboni.

Sunday Night Executive Producer Mark Llewellyn said, “We are incredibly proud of the stories on Sunday Night and this award shows our commitment to excellence. Combined with two Walkley Award nominations, Sunday Night has had an outstanding year and we look forward to delivering more compelling stories in 2013.”
