Studio 10 accused of deleting negative Facebook comments
Studio 10 kicked off its brand new format after a shock reshuffle this month saw long-standing hosts Kerri-Anne Kennerley, Natarsha Belling and Joe Hildebrand given the boot, but the network has been accused of burying its head in the sand over a less than enthusiastic response.
New hosting duo Sarah Harris and Tristan MacManus debuted on the much less populated couch on Monday.
It was always going to be a tough change for loyal fans to come around to, and the comments online suggest very few people were budging.
Negative comments crowd social media
“I was pretty confident Studio 10 cannot get any worse. I was wrong,” was one brutal response shared on Twitter.
“This new line up on Studio 10 is worst ever,” was another very direct response.
“No... no decent vibes here... sorry,” another wrote.
Though there’s no shortage of negative responses, it seems there were plenty more where they came from, and not all of them can be seen.
10 accused of ‘deleting’ negative responses by fans
TV Blackbox reported on Monday that they witnessed comments posted on the program’s Facebook post being deleted, not over abusive language or legally problematic contents, but rather over negative reviews.
Currently, the post announcing the new duo has 740 comments, but only 430 can be seen.
Channel 10 denies the accusations.

Interestingly, the rating for the new-look show’s debut was 16% higher than the previous week, meaning viewers were at least willing to give the new format a go, even if some say they weren’t able to air their opinions.
At least one fan was forced to take to Twitter, claiming she had indeed had her negative comment pulled from the page.
“Yep, I was deleted,” she wrote in response to the TV Blackbox report. “I said the new format was boring must [have] hurt someone's feelings.”
“Why censor comments?” she continued. “None are targeted at the hosts all about the format. 100’s of all old viewers deleted. Shame on the network.”
Another revealed it had happened to them even before the show’s massive shakeup.
“I tuned out when they blocked me on Instagram for posting a comment,” the former fan tweeted. “It’s odd that freedom of opinion can’t be expressed on the panellists on Studio 10. To do so usually results in the comment being removed & the user blocked.”
Meanwhile, on Instagram these days it seems the discussion won’t go ahead at all.
All comments on the program’s page have been disabled.
Of the comments still visible, it seems viewers have been left disappointed at the lack of meaty discussion, with many calling for a return of Hot Topics, and less light-hearted entertainment.
