Students charged over Perth station attack

A young man remains in a critical condition in hospital after being assaulted by high school students at a Perth train station, while his alleged attackers have been charged.

Police believe the students were all wearing their school uniform when they bashed the victim at Stirling Train Station on Thursday afternoon, leaving him with serious head injuries.

Five boys aged between 14 and 16 have been charged with aggravated robbery and committing acts intended to cause grievous bodily harm, and are due to face Perth Children's Court on March 3.

A spokeswoman for Royal Perth Hospital said the victim, who is aged in his late teens or early 20s, is in the intensive care unit.
