Strictly's Wynne Evans admits he's 'struggling' ahead of Blackpool
The singer is hoping the Tower Ballroom's sprung floor helps him out
What did you miss?
Strictly's Wynne Evans has admitted he is "struggling" with some of his moves ahead of Blackpool Week.
The opera singer and his pro partner Katya Jones are set to perform a Charleston at the Tower Ballroom on Saturday night. The dancefloor in the historic ballroom is known for its sprung floor, making it bouncier than most.
And speaking on Strictly spin-off It Takes Two, Evans revealed he thinks it will help.
What, how and why?
The It Takes Two episode on Friday, 15 November was filmed in Blackpool, where the celebs are ahead of this week’s show.
Appearing alongside host Fleur East and fellow contestant Montell Douglas, Evans said: "I am hoping this bouncy floor will help this larger lady bounce like mad with the Charleston!"
“I think it is going to help me with the swivel,” he confessed. "I have been struggling with that if I am honest because like, I am 18 stone, so it is hard to jump up and down for eight hours a day in rehearsal. My legs are in bits!"
Evans ended up in the dance-off last week, but the judges saved him and sent him through to Blackpool, sending Shayne Ward home instead.
He told East he was "having the best time". "From week one I have been kind of like going, 'If I get through this week, if I get through this week.' It was inevitable that I was going to be in the dance-off at some point and so just to be here in Blackpool is amazing. And the history here! You can see all the composers names around, you can feel what's gone on in this building before."
What else did Wynne Evans say on It Takes Two?
Evans shared that his and Jones’ routine includes a lift that they have yet to nail down.
The star previously shared on It Takes Two that he and Jones were set to work on the move with some extra dancers, but that they hadn't done so yet.

Presenter East asked if Evans was feeling more confident about it now, but he replied: "Not massively more because I haven't done it yet!"
He laughed: "There is one point where I just have to grab her leg - all I have got to do is focus on that leg!"
Strictly: It Takes Two airs on BBC Two at 6.30pm, Monday to Friday.
Strictly Come Dancing airs on BBC One at 6.45pm on Saturday.
