What did you miss?
Strictly Come Dancing fans were singing the praises of Chris McCausland and Dianne Buswell, with one viewer calling their partnership an “absolute triumph.”
While Chris and Dianne haven’t been the highest-scoring pair in the series, they’ve definitely captured the nations’ hearts, as the comedian and his professional dance partner continue to thrive week after week on the dancefloor.
This week, the pair performed a Couple’s Choice dance to Instant Karma! (We All Shine On) by John Lennon. Ahead of the public vote, this dance will be the make-or-break moment for the pair, as they vie for a chance to perform during Strictly’s beloved Blackpool Week. And judging by viewers' and judges' reactions, it looks like the pair definitely achieved their goal.
What, how and why?
With matching white hats and tuxedos, McCausland and Buswell looked like they were having a ball during the closing dance of the show. But one especially poignant moment occurred towards the end of the dance, with the stage being plunged into darkness while the music continued to play in the background.
On X, one viewer said the moment “really hits home [how] he has no frame of reference for any of these dances,” while another added: Switching the lights off in the studio so we can all know what it feels like to be the AMAZING Chris McCausland for a few seconds, that was extremely poignant and emotional.”

What else did viewers say during Strictly?
Strictly viewers were also captivated by Vito Coppola during his dance with Sarah Hadland. The pair danced an American Smooth to Proud by Heather Small.
During the dance, Vito pulled off a cartwheel which turned into a lift — and viewers on X were amazed. One described Vito as “defying the laws of physics” while another wrote: “I need to study Vito's brain, how do you decide to do this?” While a third opined: “Vito has to be the best choreographer Strictly has ever seen. You can't just go around doing things like this.”
