Strictly Come Dancing's Tasha Ghouri has confessed she is unsure how she will adapt to dancing in the Blackpool Ballroom, which is famous for its sprung dance floor.

The Love Island star was born deaf and uses a cochlear implant, but will only have a few hours of rehearsals in the historic ballroom before the live show. She admitted it will be very different to dancing in the large echoing venue with a spring floor and filled with a huge live audience, to performing in a small TV studio.

Ghouri and her professional dance partner Aljaz Skorjanec appeared on Strictly spin-off show It Takes Two on Tuesday, 12 November, to chat about Blackpool week. Host Fleur East asked the model, author and podcaster if she thought the change of venue would have much affect on how she heard the music.

Ghouri said: "Definitely. Because in the studio it's soundproof, you know it's so intimate, it's small, it's intact. So in the ballroom in the Tower ballroom, it's going to be a whole different sound.

"It's gonna be echo-y, so definitely it's going to be something that I need to get used to. I don't have much time to get used to it, either. So definitely it's going to be a situation where, on the day, you know, in rehearsals we'll see how it goes. It definitely is going to be more echo-y, but the advantage of that I will feel it more in my body because it's much more vibration.

"More of that runs through my body. So if anything, it could actually be more of an advantage!"

Montell Douglas and Johannes Radebe were also guests on the show. They revealed that originally only Douglas was due to wear a cape for their paso doble at the weekend. But during rehearsals Radebe got cape envy and so they decided to both wear capes.

Douglas explained: "He says to me, 'What can I say? You look phenomenal. I wanna look like that.' That's pretty much the name of the story." Radebe added: "It was exactly that. We were in rehearsals and I was teaching my child our choreography and everything, and I I remember I took a game and I was how you do it. And when we did it together, there was such power. And I was just like, 'Are we missing a trick here?'

"But [costume designer] Vicky Gill stepped in and was like, I have got the perfect idea for you guys, and that is what came out. And I think we looked phenomenal. Thank you, Vicky."

It was announced that RuPaul's Drag Race finalist Tayce will be taking part in the 2024 Strictly Christmas Special, dancing with Kai Widdrington.

They have already begun rehearsing their dance to Kylie Minogue's 100 Degrees and told East: "It's been amazing. We did our first training session a few days ago, and honestly, I come in and I'm like '5,6,7,8, Let's go!' I'm ready for it. You know, I love to perform. It's what I do. It's what I live for and I intend to win. So get ready."

Asked who was more terrifying as a judge RuPaul or Craig Revel Horwood, Tayce said: "I'm gonna go with Craig. But you know, it's Christmas time — the nutcrackers are out, and that's a tough nut to crack. But that's exactly what I'm gonna do, baby. Crack that nut!"
