Strictly's Pete Wicks has admitted he's worried about showcasing his "sexy" side in his next performance, joking he fears he will be "less Magic Mike and more Tragic Pete".

The Towie star has made it through to Blackpool Week in the BBC competition and he and his pro dance partner Jowita Przystal will be performing a Cha Cha Cha to I'm Too Sexy. However, he confessed that while last Saturday's contemporary dance fitted, the new routine doesn't feel like him.

Appearing on spin-off show It Takes Two, he insisted his dancing was "not sexy".

Wicks and Przystal were on the programme on Wednesday, 13 November when talk turned to their upcoming performance, and the TV star admitted: "Last week very much felt like me - this week very much does not."

"Do you not think you are sexy?" asked host Janette Manrara. Wicks replied: "You have seen me dance. One thing about me dancing is that it is not sexy! I mean, the routine Jowita has got for it, it looks like something out of Magic Mike and I feel like it is going to be less Magic Mike and more Tragic Pete."

However, Przystal insisted it wasn't going to be anything like the 2012 male stripper movie, which starred Channing Tatum.

"I think it is going to be a show but it is not Magic Mike," she said.

Wicks also addressed his emotional dance on Saturday's show, which he performed in honour of his late nan. He and Przystal danced to Tina Turner’s Simply The Best, scoring 36 out of 40.

He said it had been emotional, joking: "Saturday wasn't about the judges scores or even kind of getting to Blackpool for me, so I am just pleased that I managed to get through it. I think the only person who did more dancing than anyone on the night was my bottom lip!"

"I am surprised I didn't fall over on the dancefloor, slipping on my own tears!" he quipped.

Strictly: It Takes Two airs on BBC Two at 6.30pm, Monday to Friday.

Strictly Come Dancing airs on BBC One at 6.45pm on Saturday.
