Strictly's Craig Revel Horwood recalls choreographing Hugh Grant for Paddington 2
"When he did the triple flip and landed, he went 'YES!'"
What did you miss?
Strictly Come Dancing's Craig Revel Horwood has spoken of his time choreographing Hugh Grant in preparation for shooting Paddington 2.
Released in 2017, the beloved family-comedy sequel had the Heretic actor taking on the dastardly part of Phoenix Buchanan, which saw him breaking into dance on the big screen.
While catching up with Strictly: It Takes Two presenter Fleur East on Friday, 8 November, Revel Horwood was on the subject of professional dancer Katya Jones and how she convinces her celebrity partners that they can achieve anything in the ballroom when he brought up Grant's initial reservations.
What, how and why?
On Jones, who's competing alongside opera singer Wynne Evans this year, the Strictly judge explained: "She challenges people, she makes people believe that they can do something that if they were sat at home or looked at, they'd say, 'Oh no there's no way I could do that.'"
Alighting on a Hollywood anecdote, Revel Horwood added: "You know, Hugh Grant was like that in Paddington 2 when I choreographed it.

Strictly's Craig Revel Horwood wishes he has a 'zero' score paddle
"I showed him this massive lift and he went, 'Uhhh!' Thinking, 'I can't do it'. You do it in stages and then suddenly when he did the triple flip and landed, he went 'YES!' because it was amazing.
"I think that is what Katya provides for someone like Wynne."
What else happened on Strictly: It Takes Two?
Meanwhile, Revel Horwood also opened up about the fact he still hasn't scored Tasha Ghouri and Aljaž Škorjanec a 10 this series.
Quizzed on what the Love Islander needs to do, he told East: "Be better, [she] just needs to be better. She's fantastic, it's just each time I'm looking for... I'm not looking for perfection, I'm looking for something where I put my pen down and I stop judging and I'm embalmed in that entire dance from beginning, middle and end.
"It is tough but for me it's when the music, the lyrics, the emotion, the choreography, the costumes, the lighting all comes together."
Strictly Come Dancing resumes Saturday, 9 November on BBC One.
