Strictly Come Dancing 2024 contestant Chris McCausland has confessed he has no idea if he has made a mistake while dancing the Paso Doble.
The comedian has beaten the odds to make it Week 10 of the BBC dance contest, but admitted he cannot tell if he has made a mistake in his performance until his professional partner partner Dianne Buswell tells him afterwards. McCausland claimed the Paso Doble was the hardest dance has learned so far.
What, how, and why?
McCausland and Buswell appeared on Strictly spin-off show It Takes Two on Friday, 22 November to discuss their Blackpool Week triumph. This week they will be dancing the Paso Doble. But McCausland — who is Strictly's first blind contestant — confessed that while in previous dances he has had a feel for how the performance has gone, with this fiery Latin dance he has no idea.
The comedian told host Janette Manrara: "This has been the hardest one, if I'm honest. To get and to understand and it's honestly, it's taken two days for me to even understand the positions I'm meant to be in. It's so unnatural. It doesn't, it doesn't relate to any of the others really, in what's expected and the positions and the, the posture, it's so bent and stretched.

"And at first she was teaching me, and I was like, 'Are you sure, are you sure you've learned this right? 'Cause it just felt so wrong and I've got no read on it. I knew we'd done a good job on that American Smooth at the end. And this one until Diane either tells me I've done good or tells me off. I don't know how I've done."
What else happened on It Takes Two?
Vito Coppola was humiliated by his result in the Strictly 2024 pro challenge.
This years judge Craig Revel Horwood set the challenge for the pro dancers to attempt to break the record for the most Cha-Cha-Cha chasses performed in 30 seconds. Copplola — who won the glitterball trophy in 2023 with Corrie star Ellie Leach — was the first dancer to take part in this years Strictly pro challenge.
Watched by Revel Horwood and an official Guinness World Records time keeper Coppola performed the steps on a small stage and afterwards confessed: "I'm sweaty. I can feel it in my legs. They are like burning. There is a little fire in my muscle and also I can feel the sweat dropping in every single part of my body. " Revel Horwood commented: "You definitely lost your smile."
Manrara revealed that in 30 seconds Coppola had managed 10 steps. But she then revealed eight of the chasses had been disqualified, because he had not put his heel fully down on every step.
He said: "What?! I didn't put the heel?! My father always tells me that I dance on the toes. I mean, I really hope and I'm very sure that my colleague did the way better job than me and I'm proud of all of them!"
