'Street Outlaws' cast member Chris Ellis dies aged 39

Reality star ‘Kentucky’ Chris Ellis - best know for his role as a mechanic on reality show ‘Street Outlaws’ - has died at the age of 39.

Chris reportedly died on Wednesday at his home in Oklahoma City, US, with friends discovering his body in after he had not been heard from for two days, according to TMZ.

TMZ also reported the cause of death is a suspected heroin overdose, with police saying there were no signs of foul play. Drug paraphernalia was also reportedly found at the scene.

Chris, who is originally from Kentucky, hence the nickname, was a cast member on the very first season of Street Outlaws in 2013, but continued to feature as a mechanic over the years, last appearing in 2018.

Chris is survived by his mother, three brothers and three sisters.

In a tribute is family wrote: “Chris was a dearly-loved brother, son, and friend who will be deeply missed by all who knew him.”
