'Straya’: TikTok reveals reality of living in Australia

Having a visit from movie characters sounds like fun— but maybe not when it's the cast of A Bug's Life.

One TikToker unintentionally cast himself in his own bug-related film, finding himself with some new friends he didn't necessarily want when some insects took him accidentally leaving the window open as an invitation to make themselves at home.

"Accidentally left the light on and the [windows] open to the bathroom," Queensland man Jarod Evans says in the video as he pans around the room, showing a variety of bugs on the walls.

'Only in Australia'

In the short 15-second clip, Mr Evans showed viewers how well his guests had settled in — much to his dismay.

Starting off the clip at the scene of the crime, he showed some flies and small moths near the window that was left open and on the roof of the bathroom before panning to a large moth on the wall which he placed his hand next to for scale.

"What the f**k," he said dumbfounded, then showing what appears to be a huntsman spider on the shower door and a large stick insect near a power outlet.

"What the hell," he added, captioning the video – which has been viewed over 91,000 times – 'Straya'.

The video has been liked over 8,000 times with many users laughing at Mr Evan's misfortune.

"Lights on and an unguarded open window = totally asking for trouble," another TikToker wrote.

"Tell me u live in Australia without telling me u live in Australia," one user joked. "Not robbers, worse, bugs!""Leaving a light on… Your bathroom was the hottest ticket in town!" another agreed.

"Your bathroom is now theirs," another declared. "Give it up."
