A stolen car has been linked to a man's suspicious disappearance in Queensland's southwest.
Queensland Police are seeking information about a white Ford Focus - registration 600 SZJ - as part of their search for 27-year-old Jeremiah Rivers, who went missing last month.
Mr Rivers was last seen near Wippo Creek, about 20km south of Noccundra, about 9.30am on October 18.
Detective Acting Superintendent Stephen Blanchfield says the Ford Focus was stolen from the Sunshine Coast and was seen in the southwest area after Mr Rivers went missing.
The car with at least two occupants was spotted at Miles and Thargomindah - the latter a 90-minute drive from Noccundra - where it was involved in fuel station drive-offs on October 18 and 19 respectively.
Det Blanchfield said the vehicle was stolen 24 hours before Mr Rivers went missing.
"It ended up out in the southwest area. That is of interest to us because that is an unusual thing for a vehicle stolen from the Sunshine Coast to do," he said.
"We are very interested in anyone who saw that vehicle or the people who were in that vehicle.
"There is no suggestion that Jeremiah knows these people at this stage but it is of interest to us that a car would travel from the Sunshine Coast to Thargomindah."
The Ford Focus has since been located in Coomera and seized.
Mr Rivers disappeared while camping with six others as he travelled back to Darwin from Balranald in the NSW Riverina after playing AFL.
Det Blanchfield said Queensland homicide detectives were still working with Victoria and NSW police to interview all of the remaining members of Mr Rivers' camping group.
He said they had still not spoken to two members after some had tested positive to COVID-19 and were in isolation.
Police have concluded their search of the Wippo Creek area, but members of Mr Rivers' family have travelled from Western Australia and NT to continue looking for him.
Mr Rivers is about 185cm tall, has a slim build and a tattoo of a cross under his right arm.
He was last seen wearing a red Chicago Bulls NBA singlet, red Adidas sneakers and black jeans.
Police have urged anyone with information to contact Policelink on 131 444 or Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
